The Hennesey Venom GT went into production in 2012 by US car manufacturer Hennessey Performance Engineering. The car holds a number of world records for production cars and an unofficial record as the worlds fastest production car (it does not qualify as Hennessey has not produced enough cars to qualify).

The Hennessey Venom GT is powered by a twin turbo charged 7 Litre V8 engine that produces and incredible 928 kW (1,244 hp) of power. The engine is mid mounted and it delivers the power to the rear wheels through a six speed manual transmission.

The Hennessey Venom GT Top Speed
With its incredibly powerful V8 engine the Hennessey Venom GT has some amazing performance figures. The car can accelerate from 0 – 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 2.7 seconds and has a top speed of 435.3 km/h (270.49 mph). Hennessy estimate that the car can reach a top speed of 447 km/h (278 mph) but this has not been verified. The car holds some speed world records including the record for 0 – 300 km/h (0 – 186 mph) in just 13.63 seconds.

Like most cars built for outright speed the interior of the Hennessey Venom GT is quite sparse and basic. The dash consists of analogue RPM and Speedometer dials and a small digital display. The steering wheel has no extra controls.
